Hey there friends! Hope this finds you enjoying Him…and if not, well, now’s as good a time as any to start. Haha! Here’s the August 2012 playlist for The Belief Project. A wide variety of styles and moods here, that’s what I’ve needed lately. Here’s how I’ve been using this playlist in the last month:
Tracks 1-6 have been my daily drink each morning over the past few weeks. To me these songs are a great progression that wakes my soul, reminds of truth and gives me the opportunity to declare the Kingdom reality over my day. Mystery recites the words believers have repeated for generations when taking communion – “Christ has died and Christ is risen, and Christ will come again.” Wonderful is the perfect track to sing my heart of gratitude for who God is and it daily reminds me to focus on what God HAS DONE. “We welcome You with praise…” is the line that hooks me from Here for You. God is here, all around, my joy is to welcome His presence with praise! Praise is Befitting is an oldie but a goodie that is simple but penetrating – His sacrifice stands each day as a declaration of His love for me – and He is worthy of my praise. The Royal Royal is a band I discovered in the last month and I really love their sound on Praise Him (Acoustic Version).
*Jesus Saves – I continue to need to dance – often – and this is a great one for that.
*Lullaby – This one was used by a friend at a Toth Women’s Retreat during an encounter time and it wrecked the whole room. Let this wash over you!
*Various songs from Onething Live: Magnificent Obsession – These are my favorites from this album. Each of them have incredible declaration about who God is, the relentlessness of His love, and His matchless worth. SO GOOD!
